Shiptech have the skills to meet your draughting requirements by traditional shipyard draughting procedures or by using CAD techniques.

Notwithstanding the above Shiptech have the expertise to attend onboard your vessel to take the necessary measurements & details to produce construction & installation and as fitted drawings to class and statutory requirements.

Stability Investigations

Using our In-house Naval Architectural Software (Autoship suite of programs) we can provide a full range of stability investigations, including various types of Damage and Intact stability all in accordance with MCA, Classification Society or IMO Rules & Regulations.

Shiptech can also provide stability calculations for your new design or for your conversion project prior to the tending stage to ensure that your vessel will meet current stability & freeboard requirements and legislation.

Inclinings, Lightweight Checks, Rolls Tests & Heel Tests
Inclining's, Lightweight Checks, Rolls Tests & Heel Tests

Shiptech can provide services both to conduct a Lightweight Check or an Inclining Experiment to make the relevant checks on the vessel and provide a full and detailed report to submit to the relevant classification society or authority. Subsequent stability data such as stability booklets can be provided also.

Our expert and helpful staff can provide services to conduct Roll Tests and provide a fully written report on the same day as attendance to allow the vessel to sail without much delay or inconvenience. Heel Tests can be conducted on the vessel via assessing the vessel’s heel or by mathematical calculation if appropriate.

The concept of conducting a feasibility study is to ensure that, as the name suggests, any proposed modification; change of usage; change of propulsion equipment; refit of deck gear; will achieve your requirements without compromising your vessels and that it will still meet all the necessary safety requirements & regulations in its converted state.

Shiptech have been involved in numerous feasibility studies for a large variety of vessels ranging from small fishing vessels to multi role offshore support vessels.

Tender & Conversion Specifications

As a support to our clients, Shiptech has the expertise and knowledge of the marine industry, to offer Tender Evaluation Facilities. Services Include:

  • Preparation of tender documents for issue to shipyards
  • attend contactors’ inspection meetings
  • clarification of any queries arising from the tender documentation
  • technical and financial assessment of tenders

Shiptech over the years have prepared numerous repair & conversion specifications, we will take your requirements and examine them against current legislation and classification society requirements. Shiptech’s aim is to ensure that the specification is sufficiently detailed to ensure that a valid cost can be generated by the shipyard with a minimum of exclusions.

Project Management & Superintendence

Shiptech offers to our clients, the expertise to manage projects utilising the latest management techniques handled via the Microsoft Project software package.

Shiptech staff will:

  • inspect and accept the work done during the building or conversion and/or any part thereof, including materials and articles used or to be used therein.
  • Assist the shipyard by supplying information and advice as required.
  • Monitor progress of work on the vessel during the refit and report to the Owner.
  • Implement procedures for the vetting and authorisation of emergent work.
  • Submit all condition/survey reports quickly and in duplicate to the owner.
